Arriving in Ireland

Since tickets to Dublin are inexpensive, we decided, why not go for even a short weekend? We had a few travel delays this time, but no inconveniences from this crew. They were as good as gold!

We wanted to see the Cliffs of Moher, so this meant some time in a rental car. Rob did an amazing job driving on the opposite side of the road!

Our first encounter with Irish cuisine was discovering they have this at McDonalds. (They were out of ice cream though-sad!)

Immediately, it was easy to see that Ireland is very GREEN! We passed fields of green from the east side of the country to the west.

We made one stop along the way to the Cliffs: Bunratty Castle. We admired views of the castle exterior. It looked like the other castles we saw later-made of stone.

We continued on through the green fields.

We made it to the Wild Atlantic Way and on to the Cliffs. Sorry for the cliff hanger…see the next post for more! 🙂
